Meet Dan Wycklendt
Outside of six years of service as a United States Marine, Dan Wycklendt has been a lifelong resident of Milwaukee County. Dan's first home was just west of Washington Park on 47th and Lloyd until he moved to the Northeast side of
Milwaukee, where his immediate family still resides.
The oldest of seven children, Dan attended Holy Family Grade School and Marquette University High School. After graduation from high school in 1998, Dan attended Marquette University for three semesters before joining the United States Marine Corps in 1999. Dan was stationed at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA until the terrorist attacks of September 11th. In the years to come he served in Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom and two tours in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was during his second tour in Iraq that he and the Marines he fought with saw some of the hardest fighting in Najaf, Fallujah, and Ramadi. For his hard work despite adverse conditions Dan received an Air Medal and Combat Air Wings. He was honorably discharged in 2005 as a Sergeant of Marines after almost six years of dedicated service to our country.
When Dan returned from Iraq he moved home to Milwaukee where he purchased a home just west of the Miller Valley in the Wick Park neighborhood. Dan continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee studying Finance. While in school Dan worked nights at Mo's A Place For Steaks in Downtown Milwaukee and during the day as a Real Estate Agent for Realty Executives. In 2007 Dan received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from UWM.
Dan is currently the Vice President of Compliance for FirstPathway partners (www.firstpathway.com) in Milwaukee, WI. He is also actively involved in the assistance of Veterans and their families including volunteering as a driver for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at our local VA Hospital. Dan is a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Wauwatosa.
